Clients have been in industries such as high tech; publishing; pharmaceutical; medical examiner; life, property and casualty insurance; B2B services; performing arts; not-for-profit and affinity associations; criminal justice; magazine circulation; retail.
Sandra Schanzer, the founder of Dorset Consulting, possesses a unique combination of managerial, technical and interpersonal skills and over 25 years of experience in a variety of corporate and small business settings. She is an expert in helping clients clarify business goals, define strategy and use technology to reach these goals. She is a Salesforce.com Certified System Administrator.
Before starting Dorset Consulting, Ms. Schanzer was Manager of Information Technology at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. and had held increasingly responsible positions as programmer, systems analyst, and project manager at other companies.
Ms. Schanzer was the technology advisor to NJAWBO, the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners, for its installation of a new organization-wide website and membership database. She is a Past President of the Barnard Club of Greater Northern New Jersey, a college alumnae organization with 2,500 members. She is a member of the Alumnae Fellowship Award Committee of Barnard College.
Ms. Schanzer has given presentations to technical and business groups and seminars on database concepts for the non-technical person. She has written technical and non-technical articles, including one on the potential implications of a Y2K failure in the book The Year 2000: Essays on the End published by New York University Press.
She has a B.A. cum laude from Barnard College and an M.B.A. with distinction in Information Systems from Pace University.
